Thank You!

I've been meaning to write for a while now. Specifically to say thank you to all of you who replied to my last post. I'm so grateful to have you all in my life and to grow from my associations with you. So again, Thank you! You all are the best!

Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to as of late. :-D

Paige turned 6!

We went to Minnesota over fall break to visit our Oxborrow family.

Our sign was stolen, so Russ made this instead.

Morgan's 5th grade class contributed a scene to the Pumpkin Walk
Morgan worked on the Harriet Tubman part of the scene.

My sister's pumpkins for this year. :-D

My cute little Moo Cow, Liam.

A true knight in shining armor, Darien.

Princess Paige

Britton marching in the Ellis parade as Link, from the Legend of Zelda games.

Morgan the dead-head zombie. A costume she created herself. :-)

Uh... this is us on Nov. 4th. I have a feeling a lot of you weren't smiling, but we were.
You can even see my mom giving the victory sign in the corner. Lol!

How about the Obama Stock market bounce. It dropped 15% since Tuesday. Keep it up Barak, in 4 years we will all be working for Castro...

It was Obama's fault the market is crashing? Sounds like you've been listening to conservative talk radio Mark.

It was my impression that the stock market was in big trouble WEEKS before Obama was elected. In fact, I think that was one of the reasons he WAS elected. It was a pretty tight race up until that point. I find it odd that you or Rush didn't notice the stock market was in trouble until Obama was elected. ;-)

Luv ya cousin, but we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on politics.

That moo cow was so darn cute, it should be the advertisement for.... well anything you might want to sell. It’s nice to see your family soooo happy in pictures from the 4th of November. I really do hope Pres. Elect Obama will make changes that will allow the nation to move forward. I give him all my respect and even support,up until he moves in a way that goes against my values, then I will have to stand up and shout like heck(respectfully of course). I will be especially interested in his job description, which is to PROTECT and DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. If he does that he will have succeeded in ways George Bush did not. When prophesy about the constitution hanging by a thread comes true I’m confident it will be a result of both parties failing to adhere to it's genius, wisdom and inspiration. I’m sure that we will eventually be standing on the same side of all these issues, as we gather together in Zion (not necessarily Missouri.)

Thanks so much for your comment Kim. I whole-heartedly agree with everything you said. I hope these will be good years. If not, I'll be right there with you shouting like heck. :-)

*hug*

You're seriously awesome!

The Stock market is a leading indicator, not a lagging one. The drop in the market after Nov 4th is the investors forecast for how the well the future president can handle himself. The problem is Obama has yet to accomplish anything except be a community organizer. The last person with way more experienced then Obama was Carter. The market remembers how the last turmoil driven election turned out and it does not like it. You are right, Obama was elected on the back of a gloom and financial crisis, not due to his merit. The hope is that he will not do the foolish things he said that he would and govern like Bill Clinton. Clinton came to the center and passed free trade bills. If Obama does not pass the free trade bills, then he is either a fool or a coward. Read about the great depression and the causes. Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act was a fools way to stimulate the economy and it put the economy into a hole it could not dig out of until Dec 7 1941. Obama has said he would like to pass protectionist policy. That is because labor unions put him in power. He has shown he is not a man of his word (campaign contributions , etc.,._ , and for this it give me hope that he will not be the coward that scares the hell out of the market.

BTW I do not listen to talk radio, have not for years.
